A $200,000 funding boost aimed at managing flying-fox roosts has been split amongst nine local governments across Queensland.

Funding boost for SEQ flying-fox management programs

Local councils will use the grants to tailor their flying-fox programs to suit their communities and support projects. Amongst the successful programs, more than half of the funds have been allocated to SEQ (Sunshine Coast Council, Logan City Council, and Noosa Shire Council, amongst others) for revegetation, training, monitoring, and rehabilitation of roost sites.
