Join Healthy Land & Water’s Water by Design program for a hands-on workshop that will empower you to prepare your household for major rain events. Supported by the Insurance Council of Australia, this 2-hour session is packed with practical knowledge and educational tools to help you improve local flood resilience.

Heavy rain can cause costly damage to your home. In this session, you’ll discover how to implement Water Sensitive Urban Design practices - a smart, sustainable way to reduce the risk of damage to your property and better manage water overflow in your home.

You’ll walk away with:

  • An understanding of actions that can be taken to reduce stormwater run-off.
  • Skills to create water sensitive designs (like rain gardens) in your home.
  • The confidence to act and prepare for rain events.

Hands-on, family-friendly, and packed with take-home tips, this event is designed for residents who are ready to take action and better prepare and protect their property from major rain events – starting in their own backyard.

Morning tea and supporting materials will be provided to participants.

Spots are limited, so register today!
