Nominations to the State and Territory Landcare Awards are open! It’s time to shout out those heroes making outstanding contributions to caring for the environment in their local communities.

Entering its 32nd year, the State and Territory Landcare Awards have firmly established themselves as a prestigious biennial national initiative. The aim is to recognise and celebrate exceptional contributions made by individuals, groups, and organisations committed to environmental stewardship within their local communities.

In each state and territory, the Landcare Awards will be granted to acknowledge achievements in nine diverse categories, spanning climate action, environmental leadership, sustainable agriculture, First Nations initiatives, Women in Landcare, youth engagement, Coastcare, and children.

Nominating is free and very easy. You can check the categories, guidelines and enter your nomination at this link. You have the choice to nominate either yourself or someone you think deserves recognition for their work to restore, improve, and protect the natural environment in their community.

If you know an individual, group, or organisation in your community that is making a significant impact on environmental sustainability and responsible land or water management, do not hesitate to put them forward for a Landcare Award.
