Simon WarnerPenny Kidd, Board Member  SEQCMAPenny Kidd, a member of Healthy Land & Water's SEQCMA Committee, is an emerging environmental scientist who employs science-based methods and tech tools to address human impacts on the environment.

With a background in telecommunications, Penny brings a unique multidisciplinary perspective, navigating project outcomes within legal frameworks. Her expertise spans soil and water sampling, eDNA analysis, pollution investigation, and ecological field studies. Leveraging GIS mapping, AI, MARXAN, IPCC modelling, and statistical tools like R Studio, she tackles environmental challenges.

Beyond her professional role, Penny serves as a non-profit treasurer for Lockyer Uplands Catchments Inc., is a member of Native Plants Qld (Toowoomba branch), is a member of Friends of Gormans Gapand, and volunteers with QPWS. In her spare time Penny enjoys native flora and fauna identification and nature conservation projects on her Land for Wildlife property in the Lockyer Valley, around the foothills of Toowoomba.
