Healthy Land & Water is excited to present the Mountains, Mangroves and Moreton Bay display at this year’s World Science Festival Street Science! event in Ipswich and Brisbane.

The exhibit will educate children and parents alike about the importance of protecting the environment and how taking action upstream in the mountains and catchments affects ecosystems downstream.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about our Meet the Pollutants campaign, crack some macadamias, take home a native baby plant, meet Calypto the Glossy Black Cockatoo, and get up close and personal with fish and invertebrate species from Moreton Bay.

Making its first-ever appearance in Ipswich and returning to Brisbane for a fourth year in a row, the 2019 World Science Festival will convert the cities into a free science playground. The Street Science! events will be held on Sunday 17 March in Ipswich and on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March in Brisbane.

The World Science Festival is an event that explores and celebrates science and art through thought-provoking conversations, inspiring theatrical and cinematic experiences, interactive workshops, and engaging demonstrations.
