Free workshop on managing weeds & maintaining healthy pastures for Tamrookum landholders

Weed management and maintaining healthy pastures will be the focus of a workshop in Tamrookum this month.
A workshop focused on weed management and maintaining healthy pastures.
Attendees will also learn about grazing and land management practices that improve pasture health and diversity to maintain sustainable production and build resilience.
During the workshop on Thursday, 27 October 2022, attendees will learn how to manage and prevent the spread of invasive weeds, particularly Giant rats tail grass, Giant parramatta grass and Fireweed on their properties.
This workshop will be run by Healthy Land & Water pasture and weed specialists Bruce Lord and Dennis Gannaway, who will discuss the importance of maintaining effective Biosecurity plans and on-farm measures to prevent weed spread and new pest infestations, which threaten production and the environment.
