Dr. Miranda Rew-Duffy is a fire scientist in our Climate Adaptation team, specialising in fire and fauna relationships.
Dr. Miranda Rew-Duffy PhD is the newest addition to Healthy Land & Water's QFBC team as a fire scientist. With a background in wildlife ecology and conservation science, Miranda is passionate about preventing the extinction and decline of Australia's fauna species. In particular, she specializes in the ecology of Australian small mammals. Her PhD thesis centres on the complex relationships between fire regimes, livestock grazing, mammals, and reptiles in Central Queensland.
Miranda has also completed a Master of Conservation Science and a dual Bachelor's degree in Science (Zoology) and Arts (Journalism and Mass Communication). Her role involves supporting the delivery of the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery program.
